I forgot to put up a Reaction Post up earlier becuase I was too busy making hot chocolate with Baileys in it.

I'm not going to put one up now because, after a brief look over torch_wood, it looks like the general opinion of Random Shoes was, pretty much, 'meh'.

However the mods would like to make it known that we thought it was an absolute corker. So rather than have thread full of people going 'omg that's 50 minutes of my life I want back', we're not going to bother.

You are still more than welcome to vent your opinion here, but for now, I'm going to bask in the warm glow I've been left with after that episode, perve at That Promo Shot until I go funny, drink some Baileys, and come back in ten to tell all you haters why you are wrong.

barrowman - cheeky by annasmiles

I thought that the ending, well, the floaty uppy in the sky bit, was naff, but overall I though that the characterisation was beautiful in places. And funny! Huzzah! A lovely blend of humour and pathos. Admittedly, as I have said elsewhere, it's arguably not a great Torchwood episode, but I think that some of the themes feed in well with the overall themes and arcs (such as they are) in the show as the whole

JOSH FOR THE WIN THOUGH. FER REALS.

The point is, I think, that stuff like this and Ghost Machine were, in their own right, a decent slice of telly. Screw those people who don't like Torchwood when it's not being sci-fi. I really enjoy all that, to be honest.

The white light thing was very strange. All I can think of is that a) when he goes at the end of this one... no-one in Torchwood has died like that, so who knows? and b) maybe that was needed for the contrast at the when it all goes pfft. After last week, the whole re-dying thing has to be done very carefully... I'm not sure what else they could have actually done about it.

Not mine. You just need to click it and it saves automatically (plus, I have it on a shortcut which means you just need to hit one button to go into camera mode, and it's really easy to hit it instead of the phonebook - same little joystick thing, just pushed in a different direction). I've accidentally taken photos when I'm in a rush to call someone. It'd be completely plausible, especially with my phone. (Nokia 6020.)

But seriously, is there anyone in Cardiff who doesn't wank over Gwen Cooper's beautiful soul?

Apparently not. Suzie let me down last week with all that. But Gwen didn't annoy me that much this week. Of the main cast, I think Owen won that episode. He doesn't care about her soul, he just wants her toothy bod.

I liked it! It was beautifully tacky. Like Love & Monsters (and I love that one).

I want hot chocolate with Baileys.

Nummy. But I may wait until it's cold for that, it's more the weather for iced water and apricots. It was 38 celsius today!

I loved it. I thought it was fantastic. Although seeing the eye did make me cringe, in an "I know where that's been!" sort of way.

Especially with Jack's whole explanation about how it can see where you've been and all that. Eugene swallowing it made us all feel a little queasy.

I really liked it! I cared for Eugene from the very beginning. I cared for him more than for some of the team. There just wasn't enough Ianto.

I sort of liked it, just wishing there could have been a bit more to it with more of the team.

But that eye thing with JB was surely not true

It wouldn't surprise me. He seems to have very little issue with unneccessary onset nudity. I do believe Eve Myles has once made reference to him bouncing his dick off her head whilst she was trying to concentrate. It's not a huge leap.

Being a gooey sentimentalist (I've given up trying to hide it) I rather liked the eps, actually. And I'll take the ending of "Random Shoes" over the last three minutes of "Love and Monsters" any day.
